Sam is a dedicated mental health professional and lifelong Alaskan, deeply committed to supporting those in need. With a wealth of experience serving a diverse clientele, Sam's true passion lies in advocating for youth mental health, as well as the LGBT+ and veteran communities. As a proud member of the queer community and a long-time collaborator with the American Legion, Sam brings a personal understanding of the unique challenges faced by these groups.
With many years of experience working with youth in residential treatment settings, Sam is particularly focused on empowering teens and young adults as they strive for independence.
Their approach is individualized and comprehensive, utilizing a blend of therapeutic techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. This versatile methodology ensures that each client receives care tailored to their specific needs and circumstances. Outside of their professional life, Sam enjoys spending quality time with their cats and indulging in their passion for knitting and crocheting. Their combination of personal experience and professional expertise makes Sam a compassionate advocate for wellness and growth.
